Cloves

Cloves are often used as a seasoning for flavor enhancer or aroma enhancer. Behind its distinctive taste and aroma, cloves have health benefits. Cloves are a spice rich in antioxidants. Antioxidant compounds can help the body fight free radicals that work to damage cells which can eventually cause disease. Consuming cloves can help reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.

Vanilla

Vanilla is a flavor obtained from the extraction of the vanilla plant (Vanila planifolia). Not only used for flavoring, vanilla extract is also used in perfumes, air fresheners, and pharmaceutical products. Apart from these uses, vanilla contains various health benefits such as having many antioxidant compounds, has anti-inflammatory properties, is good for brain health, and has anti-bacterial properties.

Ginger

Ginger is herbaceous perennial which grows annual pseudostems (false stems made of the rolled bases of leaves) about one meter tall bearing narrow leaf blades. The inflorescences bear flowers having pale yellow petals with purple edges, and arise directly from the rhizome on separate shoots.

Potato

Potatoes have a high carbohydrate content, making potatoes a staple food in many countries. Apart from being delicious, potatoes contain a lot of nutrients. A number of nutrients contained in it are vitamins (A, B complex, and C), protein, carbohydrates, folic acid, polyphenols, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and carotenoids. It’s not enough to stop there, potato meat is also believed to be a sedative, antifungal, and anti-seizure drug.
